A Group of 19 Assistant Statistical Officers newly selected by Public Service Commission Uttar Pradesh came from State Agriculture Management Institute, Rehmankhera, Lucknow and visited the ICAR –CISH, Lucknow on March 15, 2022. During the visit officers were apprised about Institute’s developed technologies like improved of mango varieties Arunika, and Ambika, guava varieties Lalima, Lalit and Shweta, bael CISH B1 and CISH B2 and jamun, JL-37and JL- 42, high density planting of mango and guava, rejuvenation technology of old and unproductive mango orchards, management of irregular bearing in mango, protected cultivation of vegetables of tomato, capsicum and cucumber, grafting methods and establishment of modern nursery, canopy management, drip irrigation, integrated management of insect & diseases of mango and guava to reduce pesticide load, crop diversification and container farming of fruit crops. This visit was sponsored by Department of Agriculture Uttar Pradesh. Dr. Naresh Babu, Principal Scientist and Mr. Arvind Kumar, ACTO coordinated the visit.
